"Fanfare for Something Permanent"

— Sunday, August 25, 2013

You can tell I fell in love with that main melody. When I heard it, I knew I had to explore it. Unfortunately, it's been so long since I recorded this piece, I can't remember how to play it... can't believe I have to reverse engineer my own work. I'll share the notation with you once I figure it out.

The primary difference this piece offers is that the loop machine (actually, Giada) isn't used at all. Every iteration of the main motif is manually performed. That makes this work more symphonic than most of my other recent work... does that make sense?

EDIT I figured it out!
