"The Damage"

I picture a battlefield after the battle when I hear this... but I don't see any bodies.
This composition was almost equally improvised as it was not. I had no idea what I was getting into when I first dabbled at the keyboard, but I fell in love with the initial chord progression (it's something minor and falls into its relative major, I think...) and I decided I wasn't going to screw this one up. So I had an idea of what this piece should sound like only halfway through the composition process. Only at that point did I try my hardest to capture what I heard in my head.
